Clinical Massage Therapy

We use clinical massage (or what is more accurately called “manual therapy”) to compliment and enhance our patients' treatment.  For example, acupuncture is used for a large number of physical issues, but its effectiveness can often be furthered when appropriately paired with clinical massage.

Clinical massage is the application of massage techniques with specific intent and purpose. It emphasizes the treatment of:

  • myofascial injury and chronic pain
  • structural and postural distortions
  • biomechanical soft tissue dysfunction.

It focuses on the entire body and focuses on restoring pain free range of motion throughout the body and complete structural balance. It addresses chronic pain and injury conditions with emphasis on the underlying causes and pathology of each condition.

Benefits of Clinical Massage Therapy
  • Postural health
  • Post surgery recovery
  • Customizability to your immediate treatment needs
  • May create less dependency on clinical medications
  • Natural pain relief
  • Increased circulation which can aid in the healing and treatment process
